Conner Musgrave – engineering apprentice
After working in the engineering industry for four years, 27-year-old Conner Musgrave wanted to gain an industry-recognised qualification and apprenticeship training was the ideal way to do this whilst continuing to work for his employer.
Conner, who works for Syspal Ltd, a manufacturer of stainless steel and aluminium products, in Broseley and is studying for the Level 3 diploma in fabrication and welding, said: “I chose an apprenticeship so I could carry on at work and gain practical experience while also learning theory side at college.
“My role involves welding bespoke conveyors and the training has improved my welding skills and made me more confident in my role – I’d recommend an apprenticeship as you learn a skill whilst you are in a working environment.”
