“My apprenticeship is the best thing that I did,” says 21-year-old Rosie Whitehouse, who is now working as a full-time stylist in the salon where she did her training.
Rosie added, “I chose an apprenticeship because I’m a practical learner and because I wanted to go straight into work.
“The training prepared me to be the best, most confident, stylist I can be and showed me what the real working world is like. And not only did I learn about hair, but I also improved my people skills and learnt how to deal with customers.
“When I passed my end-point assessment I was really pleased – it made me feel confident about my skills and showed me that all my hard work had paid off!
“I’m really happy working in the salon and am always thinking how I can improve my skills so will keep learning new things so that I can become an even better stylist.”
