If you are interested in working in law, policing, teaching, counselling, mental health nursing, social work, the probation service or Crown Prosecution Service, a criminology qualification will enable you to develop skills and knowegde that will be vital for your future career.
You will learn about crime and the criminal justice sytem, how crimes are investigated - from crime scene to courtroom - and how miscarriages of justice occur.
You will develop the knowledge and skills needed to examine information, and review the justice of verdicts in criminal cases, as well as study crime and punishment and develop skills to evaluate the effectiveness of social control in delivering policy in practice.
