If you want to work in uniformed public services, this course is the first step to your future career!
You will learn important skills - including communication, planning and team work - which are vital for a career in the armed forces, police, fire and ambulance service, prison service or customs and revenue, as well as if you want to work in the leisure industry or do community or youth work.

You will be required to attend lessons to improve your English and maths (or use the time for directed study if you already have Grade 4 or above) and have the opportunity to complete 30 hours of a work experience placement.

We have outstanding success rates on our public service provision and excellent feedback from our past students. In fact, our past students have gone on to serve in the Royal Marines, police service, fire service, British Army and in the prison service amongst many other progression opportunities.
While you are on this course you will get to visit local army reserve units, fire service establishments, orienteering sites, and outdoor activity centres.
We also have guest speakers who we invite into college to enhance your learning. These have included Royal Navy Careers, West Midlands Police, Army Reserve, Army Careers, RAF Careers.
