Amar Marwaha age 30, completed the Skill SWAP programme in December 2023. He was offered an interview as part of the programme to work in a customer service role with Midland Metro. Amar was successful with his interview and is now employed with Midland Metro in a full-time position.
Amar said: “In my current role I deal with customers on a daily basis; helping with time management and money handling. I feel I am successful in this role thanks to the Skill SWAP course as it gave me the confidence to apply myself at the interview stage, as well as with some of the units we did to deal with customer effectively.
“Doing the Skill SWAP course helps to prepare you for an interview. The knowledge gained throughout the course is invaluable and I would recommend to anyone looking for work to give it a go. In the future I would like to continue to work for Midland Metro and progress within this company.”
