“This course has been a great stepping stone for me, especially because I never had a clue when it came to jobs and never knew what to do with myself before this. The tutors have been super supportive, and have always answered all of my questions as well as providing us with the best resources. This really isn’t like being back at school, I hated that, this is way better! You can talk freely without having to put your hand up, its been a nice relaxed approach.

“For the last year or two I was doing nothing before this course and when it was recommended by my work coach, I knew it would be a great opportunity and great for my CV. Being guaranteed a job interview at the end of the course is a brilliant way to encourage people to feel more confident in their ability and also it’s an entry point to a job. The chances of getting an offer for the job are quite high and it’s a really good experience to prepare for more interviews.

“Since starting this course, my confidence has grown massively. I was never really interested in going out, but now I am socialising more and spending more time with my family and friends. I really feel like I can start looking forward to doing more with the people around me.

“If anyone out there is considering this, I would say go for it! It has so many benefits and its free, what have you got to lose? The best bit about this course for me is passing my CSCS card which is needed to work in the Construction Industry. I put the effort in and was rewarded and that feels really good!”
