Deciding what to do after GCSEs is a huge step – but at City of Wolverhampton College there’s something for everyone.
The college offers over 300 industry-recognised qualifications to equip students with the knowledge and skills employers look for.
Courses include automotive, bakery, catering & hospitality, business, childcare & early years, computing & IT, engineering, hairdressing & beauty, health & social care, science, sport, travel & tourism, and uniformed public services.
Also available are trade qualifications in brickwork, carpentry, electrical, painting and decorating, and plumbing; and creative courses in art and design, graphic design, media, music technology, photography and performing arts.
For those who want to do A Levels, college is a great alternative to school – with more options to choose from, students can select the subjects that interest them and provide the best combination for their future career. And they’ll have access to wvSixth, the college’s own sixth form centre on the Paget Road campus too.
Students who want to do gain experience of working in their chosen field can take advantage of new T Level qualifications on offer at the college. The equivalent of three A Levels, T Levels focus on the development of vocational skills and include an in-depth industry placement as part of the course.
And for those who want to get on the career ladder and start earning, an apprenticeship combines working for an employer, learning on-the job and getting paid too!
