Doina Surchicin, 16, is currently on our Level 1 course in Computing with aspirations to progress onto the Level 2 and 3 BTEC in Computing, followed by either a University course or apprenticeship.
Doina said: “I am learning basic office administration, Excel spreadsheets, Adobe Illustrator, programming, how to brand a product, and how to design and create a website. I am looking forward to expanding my knowledge and progressing eventually onto the Level 2 and then Level 3 BTEC in Computing.
“During my time in college I’ve seen some really positive changes in myself. One exciting opportunity the college offers is becoming a class representative for the Student Union and I believe this is an opportunity to improve my communication skills and to boost my confidence by sharing ideas with other students.
“I would recommend City of Wolverhampton College to anyone thinking about further education. I would especially recommend the Computing and Digital courses because of both the professional equipment that is available to us, as well as the knowledgeable and supportive tutors. This support from tutors as well as other members of staff is like nowhere else!”
