“The course is brilliant, I never knew that working with children was so indepth!” says 17-year-old Natasha Tonks who is studying for the Level 3 early years educator qualification.
Natasha added:” I didn’t want to stop on at school as I wanted to become more independent and coming to college was definitely the right decision for me.
In September, Natasha, who hopes to become a social worker in the future, will be stopping at college to study for the Higher Education Foundation Degree in Early Years which will enable her to study part-time whilst also working in a childcare setting and then top-up to a full degree in the future.
“I’d say to anyone to follow your dreams and do what inspires you – if you study a subject you enjoy it makes learning easier. I never thought I’d get this far and I never thought I’d be able to become a social worker, but it looks like I will and that’s amazing!”
