22-year-old Elliott Owen enrolled for the Foundation Degree in Health and Social Care as an alternative route to getting to university to complete a degree.
Elliott said: “I chose to come to college instead of going to university as I’d have better support due to smaller group sizes, and it was less expensive too.
“The course enabled me to gain knowledge in different health and social care subjects and I’ve now progressed to do the ‘top up’ course at the University of Wolverhampton which will lead to a full BA (Hons) degree.
“The support from my tutor was amazing – there was one-to-one support and guidance on assignments when needed and always quick responses to email too.
“If anyone’s thinking about doing this course, I’d recommend it as it’s a way of easing into university life.”
