“Art is the only thing I enjoyed at school, and I’m good at it so deciding to study it at college was the right choice for me, “said 17-year-old Evelyn Thorpe who is in the second year of the Level 3 UAL extended diploma in art and design.
Evelyn added: “I’ve learnt a lot already – such as working in 3D, digital art, print making and 3D sculpture which is my favourite, as well as planning and researching projects.
“It’s a more comfortable way of learning here than at school – the focus is on what you want to do in the future and everything you learn is gearing you up for your future career.
“After I’ve finished the course I want to go to university to do model making and work as a model maker in film or television in the future.”
