“This course has had a huge impact on my future career and becoming a sports journalist is my number one ambition,” said 20-year-old Harpreet Singh Dhadwal who is studying for the two-year level 3 extended diploma in tv, film and radio.
Harpreet added: “I chose the course because I have a great passion for the media industry and how it operates and I enjoy watching football and want to explore how football journalism influences the media and delve into matters that are important in sporting society.
“Since starting the course I have become a very confident team player, eager to learn and help others to achieve high standards, and it has motivated me to improve my skills and qualities to be better in the future and to lead by example and show determination to inspire others too.
“After completing the course I want to study sports journalism and the University of Birmingham – the support I have been given is immense and I am ready to make this next step.
