Having been unemployed since March, 42-year-old Lisa Hannah enrolled for a short adult social care course to refresh her skills and improve her chances of getting a job in the sector.
Lisa said: “I want to get back into care as I miss doing the job.
“The course covered meeting care standards, infection control, using privacy and dignity, understanding safeguarding, effective communication and behaviour in the workplace – all things that will help me in the future.
“My confidence has really improved since doing the course and my plan now is to get a job.”
