Young people who are due to finish school in the summer and are unsure about what to do next can find out about courses and qualifications on offer at City of Wolverhampton College at an open day this Saturday, 13 January.
Continuing to study after GCSEs doesn’t mean having to stop on at school – the college offers a range of alternative options for students of all levels and abilities and tutors will be on-hand with advice on the best routes into different careers.
Visitors can find out about industry-recognised vocational courses in a range of areas, A levels in more subjects than are offered at school or learning on-the-job on an apprenticeship.
And people can also get information on new T level qualifications which are the equivalent of three A levels and include an in-depth industry work placement as part of the course.
Those attending can also get the latest news on the college’s campus transformation project which will see the opening of a new Advanced Technology and Automotive Centre at the Wellington Road campus in September 2024, and a new city centre campus – part of the City Learning Quarter vision – which is due to open in the 2025/26 academic year.
The open day will run from 10am to 2pm at the Paget Road campus, in Compton, and the Wellington Road campus, in Bilston
