Young people who left school in the summer, but still haven’t decided on their next steps, can find out about courses at City of Wolverhampton College at an open evening next month.
The college’s campuses at Paget Road in Compton and Wellington Road in Bilston will be open on Wednesday, October 12, 4pm-7pm, for people to talk to tutors about full-time and part-time vocational courses, A Levels, apprenticeships and university-level higher education qualifications.
Visitors will be able to tour the campus facilities, take part in activities related to the subject they are interested in studying and talk to current students about college life, as well as get careers advice and details of financial support to help with college costs.
Parents and carers accompanying students to the event will also be able to drop-in to interactive workshops to pick up tips on how to support young people with their learning, including developing positive study habits, revision strategies and time management technique.
