“As an ex-railway man, I wanted to get back into the industry and this course enabled me to do this. I learnt many new things, especially with all of the new technology. It has been a long time since I’ve been in school, but actually learning again has been really good for me.
“I think it’s brilliant that a course like this is free, there is no way I would have been able to do this otherwise. The fact that they invest in people is great. Also, when you got the guaranteed interview at the end of the course it give you hope for a job. In fact some of us are due to start our new jobs very soon. My plan is to work on the track for a year and then do more courses to move up the levels.
“Its never too late to learn. You have to say to yourself “I want it and I’m going to get it”.
