Ronald Singh, 50 years old, before this course worked in construction for about 35 years (labouring – plant)
After working in construction for all his working life, Ronald wanted a slower pace of life and signed up for the course as it’s an area he’s interested in.
The course has helped him to educate himself further and he’d like to be seen as one of the first people to work in the industry of the future.
He already has some knowledge of mechanics but has learnt about the electrical side of the industry and hopes to gain a full-time position working with electric vehicles.
Ronald said: “The course has been brilliant and really beneficial for the future as everything’s going electric. I’ve learnt a great deal about electric vehicles and how they will change the transport system, cut carbon emissions and make a big difference to the world we live in.
“It’s never too late to learn something new – no matter how old you are – and you get a lot of support throughout the course – it’s been brilliant!”
