Young people who are due to leave school in the summer, and adults who want to improve their skills and job prospects, can sign up for courses at City of Wolverhampton College at an open evening next Wednesday, 24 April.
The college’s campuses at Paget Road, in Compton, and Wellington Road, in Bilston, will be open from 4pm to 7pm for people to get information on full-time and part-time courses, higher education programmes and apprenticeships with local employers.
People can also find out about new T Level qualifications in a range of subjects and get the latest updates on the college’s new Advanced Technology and Automotive Centre — due to open at the Wellington Road campus in September 2024— as well as its new City Learning Quarter campus due to open in the city centre in the 2025/26 academic year.
Those attending the event can talk to tutors about courses available in their chosen field, tour the campus facilities, take part in activities related to the subject they are interested in studying and chat to current students about college life.
Anyone unsure of the best course for their chosen career can speak to a member of the college’s advice and guidance team, and parents or carers accompanying potential students can drop in to information sessions on financial support available to help with course fees and other college costs.
