Timea, age 31, completed the Preparation for Work in Retail and Customer Service course at City of Wolverhampton College in September 2024. As part of the programme, she was offered several interviews for roles in retail and was successful in securing a position as a Sales Assistant at Warren James Jewelers.
Timea said: “I’m starting my new role at Warren James next week as a Sales Assistant. I’ve always wanted to move into retail after spending seven years working in a warehouse, and this course gave me the confidence I needed to make that change. The interview process was a bit nerve-wracking at first, but the course really prepared me. The tutors helped me with interview techniques, and by the time I sat down for my first interview, I felt much more confident in how to present myself professionally.
